EAMCET

Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University is one of the most favoured destinations for the students in India. To be a part of the university, or to pursue your dream education, you have to appear for the Engineering Agricultural and Medical Common Test, or popularly known as EAMCET exam. The exam is conducted by JNTUH (Jawahar Lal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad) for Andhra Pradesh State Council o Higher Education (APSCHE). Appearing EAMCET is necessary for taking admission in to various technical, management, etc studies offered in private institutions in Andhra Pradesh.

The exam is also mandatory to take admission in to various Undergraduate programs in private as well as government colleges under Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Hyderabad. This year the examination has been scheduled to be conducted on 8th May, 2015, and the result is expected to be available by June, 2015. The exam is conducted generally once in a year by Jawaharlal Nehru University. Last year a whooping more than three hundred thousand candidates had appeared for the examination.

Candidates having fifty percent or more marks in their board secondary examinations can be eligible for the examination. An application fee of Rs. 250 has been assigned for the engineering examinations and Rs. 500 for all. You can go through EAMCET official site for complete detail.

COMDEK UGET

Students eyeing to pursue technical, medical (and dental) under graduate programs at different reputed institutions in Karnataka will have to appear the COMEDK UGET exam that is conducted by Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental colleges of Karnataka.

Important dates

The examination will be conducted over the web in English only. Application forms have been made available since first week of March, and selling of the forms will be closed on 2nd week of April, 2015. This time COMEDK 2015 has been scheduled to be conducted on 10th May, 2015. Results are expected to be out by last week of May, 2015.

Eligibility and application fees

Candidates need to have Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics with English (compulsory) in their intermediates with at least 45% marks for engineering examinations. However, SC/ST candidates are offered 5% relaxation with above case.

For medical or dental examinations, the candidate must have completed intermediate with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology with English (compulsory) with at least 50% marks (40% for SC/ST candidates). Candidate must be of 17 years or more by 31st December, 2015. Application fee of Rs. 1200 is charged for 3 subjects and Rs. 1500 for four subjects.
